Giro D’Italia Stage 21 and Finals Predictions
There are still a couple of stages remaining ahead of the Stage 21 race on May 28. As such, the cycling betting lines are going to change frequently. However, what is likely to remain intact are the names of the best contenders to score the most points to win the entire event. One of these, though, is already out after having secured several strong runs early in the competition.
Remco Evenepoel (Scratch)
Remco Evenepoel is a rising star in the world of professional cycling. This 21-year-old Belgian cyclist has already made a name for himself with impressive performances in various races, including the Giro d’Italia. He started his career as a soccer player but soon realized that his true passion lies in cycling.
Initially, Evenpepoel was the odds-on favorite to win the Giro D’Italia and was one of the top names in the Giro D’Italia Final stage prediction. However, he exited the race series after a positive COVID-19 test, disrupting the cycling schedule.
Primoz Roglic (+200)
Primoz Roglic is a Slovenian cyclist who has become one of the most respected riders in the cycling world. He has achieved impressive results in different competitions, including winning La Vuelta twice and finishing second at Tour de France.
In 2020, he was leading the Giro d’Italia but lost his position due to a crash that resulted in serious injuries. Despite this setback, Roglic made a remarkable comeback by winning the prestigious Liege-Bastogne-Liege race.
Geraint Thomas (+1000)
Geraint Thomas is a Welsh cyclist who has made a reputation for himself in the cycling world. He first started competing in the Giro D’Italia race back in 2012 and has since then become one of the top contenders, regularly appearing as a favorite in all cycling picks. His most notable achievement came in 2018 when he won the Tour de France.
Tao Geoghegan Hart (+1200)
Tao Geoghegan Hart is a young British cyclist who has made quite a name for himself in the cycling world. Born in London, he started racing when he was just 14 years old and quickly developed his skills on two wheels.
In 2020, Tao participated in his first-ever Grand Tour – the Giro d’Italia. Despite not being one of the pre-race favorites, he put up an incredible performance throughout the three weeks of racing and eventually emerged as the overall winner.
João Almeida (+1400)
Joao Almeida is one of the best cyclists to come out of Portugal. He has a number of top-10 finishes to his credit, including strong performances in the Tour de Pologne and the Tour de Luxembourg. He’s also a Giro D’Italia veteran and, in 2021, finished in sixth place.
Almeida recently won Stage 16 of the Giro D’Italia, solidifying his spot as a top contender. It’s looking more like he and Thomas may fight for the ultimate win and improvement in the Giro D’Italia Final stage prediction as they battle for points in the final stages.
