The Presidents Cup returns after the coronavirus pandemic pushed back both the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup one year.
The top players in the world take aim at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, in a battle between the American and International Teams. Tournament play begins on Thursday, September 22nd, and concludes on Sunday, September 25th.
First Ever Presidents Cup
Since the first Presidents Cup was played in 1994, the American team has dominated the bi-annual event, winning eleven of the first 13 editions.
The International Team picked up its lone victory in 1998 in Australia. The two sides also tied in 2003 in South Africa.
The International Team held a 10-8 lead heading into Sunday’s singles matches before the Americans stormed back to win in 2019 by a score of 16-14.
Justin Thomas garnered the most points for the Americans with 3.5, while Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, and Tiger Woods each grabbed three points.
Two-man Matches
Over the four days of competition players will battle it out in fourball and foursome two-man matches, with the final day featuring 12 singles matches.
A total of 30 points is up for grabs, with one point dealt to the victors of each match and a half-point awarded to both sides for a tie. Let’s take a dive into the Presidents Cup golf betting and our favorite golf picks.

The Presidents Cup Analysis
The Quail Hollow Club is going to present a formidable test for the 24 players in the 14th Presidents Cup. The course is noted for its length, as well as the tight fairways that are blanketed by tall, mature trees.
Greens at the course are also noted to be fast and firm this week, creating a daunting obstacle for the players participating.
The course opened in 1961 after being designed by original architect George Cobbs. Since it opened it has undergone numerous renovations under the direction of Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio.
The Presidents Cup Predictions
This weekend should be fun and give golf fans some exciting team competition representing American and the rest of the world outside of Europe.
The Presidents Cup golf betting is similar to the Ryder Cup, with many of the odds still to be released as pairs are given by the team captains as the competition moves on. Here are some of our favorite golf picks.
Justin Thomas Top Points Scorer
The value here is too good to pass up. Thomas represented the United States last time as the top point earner and has a stellar 12-4-3 record in a team competition between the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup.
Golf Odds: (+750)
Justin Thomas/Jordan Spieth OVER Corey Conners/Sungjae Im
Another play were the line is off in our eyes. This number should be around -150, favoring the team of Thomas and Spieth.
The two major champions have the chemistry to end this Golf matchup quickly and snag a point for the Americans.
Golf Odds: (-125)
Tournament Correct Score USA
Staying away from projecting who will win since the Americans are such favorites. This is a fun prop we do not get in individual play. The United States Team is strong, and a huge victory is very possible this week.
Golf Odds: 11.5 (+1000)
