The Rome e-Prix will be remembered for the major incidents that stopped the action and all but confirmed Avalanche Andretti’s Jake Dennis as the 2023 Formula E Drivers Champion with two e-Prix remaining this season. However, there are two E-Prix and the Formula E Teams’ Championship to fight for on a circuit that is high on energy and excitement, promising a thrilling finish to the 2023 Formula E season.

Formula E London e-Prix 2023 Circuit Preview and Previous Results
The London e-Prix on the Royal Victoria Dock returned to the Formula E calendar in 2021 and is a unique circuit that has undergone constant tweaking, including for this year’s event, with the circuit shortening slightly.
The ExCeL circuit is unique as the one race circuit that moves from inside to outside, with a downhill run in the darkness into a left-right chicane reminiscent of the Nouvelle Chicane in Monaco.
There are two drivers who have won the London e-Prix at Royal Victoria Dock. Soon-to-be 2023 Formula E World Champion, Jake Dennis, won the first London e-Prix in both 2021 and 2022. Lucas di Grassi won the second e-Prix in 2022, but with only one top-five finish in his Formula E stats, we’re not expecting di Grassi to challenge for the race win.
Formula E London e-Prix 2023 Betting Preview and Prediction
We’ve got three drivers we’re taking as our picks.
Jake Dennis
Jake Dennis scored his second win of the season at the Rome e-Prix II, which all but confirmed Dennis as the 2023 Champion. Taking Dennis to win the Formula E championship is one of Insidersbettingdigest’s London E-Prix predictions, as it would take an epic disaster to stop Dennis from winning.
Dennis holds a 24-point lead and tends to finish in the high-paying points positions, having nine podium finishes and ten top-five finishes in 14 races this season, including in the last seven consecutive e-Prix.
Nick Cassidy
Envision’s Nick Cassidy entered Formula E’s weekend in Rome with the same odds as Dennis to win the Championship. Cassidy even put himself in the lead, finishing second, ahead of Dennis in fourth, in Rome e-Prix I. However, Rome e-Prix II ended disastrously for Cassidy’s championship quest: Cassidy finished 14th, while Dennis won the Rome e-Prix II.
After being outscored 37-18 in Rome, Cassidy will need to add to his win total while hoping Dennis suffers retirements or poor finishes to win the Drivers Championship. Cassidy enters London with three race wins and seven top-five finishes.
Mitch Evans
Evans’ Roman weekend was one of two opposite experiences: winning e-Prix I and retiring from e-Prix II, the latter all but ending his Championship pursuit. Evans has three wins and seven top-five finishes this season, all coming in the last nine races, and is one of our picks to win.
