The NASCAR Cup Series playoffs move to Homestead this Sunday for the Dixie Vodka 400. This is the second race in the playoffs’ Round of 8 and is set to start at 2 PM Eastern time.
Drivers must complete 267 laps on the 1.5-mile oval to complete the 400.5-mile distance. William Byron is the defending champion in the last event, which was run in February of 2021.
Joey Logano is first in the playoff standings after winning the first race in the Round of 8 at Las Vegas last weekend.
That guarantees him a spot in the Championship 4 at Phoenix on November 6. Ross Chastain is second and has a one-point lead over Chase Elliott, and Denny Hamlin rounds out the top four, trailing Elliott by 11 points.
Dixie Vodka 400 Betting Picks and Analysis
Tyler Reddick
Although he was eliminated from the playoffs before the Round of 16, Tyler Reddick has three wins this season and has raced well at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
He finished second in last year’s race and just missed the podium in 2020, finishing fourth. Reddick also had success on this track in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
He finished fourth here in 2017 and won in 2018 and 2019, which is why he’s one of the Dixie Vodka 400 betting picks to win here on Sunday. He’s very familiar with this track and should easily adapt his strategy to the Cup Series.
Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin is fourth in the playoff standings after his fifth-place finish at Las Vegas on Sunday. He’s performed well at this track in his 17 career races here, gaining three wins, with the last victory coming in 2020.
He also has eight top-ten finishes at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. A win here would relieve some pressure before the final race in the Round of 8 in next week’s event.
Hamlin is always a favorite in the NASCAR picks when he gets behind the wheel at Homestead and is one of the Dixie Vodka 400 betting picks to win this weekend.
Ryan Blaney
Ryan Blaney isn’t typically one of the favorites at this event but has put together one of his best seasons in 2022 with ten top-five finishes and six top-tens.
He needs to have his best race of the season if he hopes to remain in the race for the Cup Championship. In seven races at Homestead-Miami Speedway, he took third place in 2020, but has no other finishes in the top ten.
Blaney led last week at Las Vegas for 39 laps, but lost control and crashed on Lap 228 while running third and finished the day 28th.
He’s one of the Dixie Vodka 400 betting picks to get his first win of the season and stand at the top of the podium on Sunday.

Dixie Vodka 400 Betting Pick and Prediction
Dixie Vodka 400 NASCAR odds favor Tyler Reddick to win this Sunday. He doesn’t have much incentive to go all-out in this event but wants to prove to everyone that he belongs in the winner’s circle over the top drivers remaining in the playoff race.
He has a win at Texas since his playoff run ended and finished in the top eight at Charlotte and Las Vegas.
Reddick’s Beating the Odds
Reddick has two recent wins here in 2018 and 2019 and finished second in last year’s event behind William Byron, who is in the field but isn’t favored to repeat in 2022.
Reddick’s experience and past performance on this track put him as the Dixie Vodka 400 betting pick to take the checkered flag on Sunday.
