Tricon’s Corey Heim needed one opening to pass a dominant Christian Eckes at Bristol, finding it with five laps to go, taking the win and a one-point lead in the NASCAR points standings.
The four drivers likely to make the Championship Four finished in the top four at Bristol, with Heim and Eckes, followed to the checkered flag by Grant Enfinger and Carson Hoocevar, with non-playoff driver Taylor Gray finishing fifth, the rookie’s second consecutive top-five finish.
Notably, Talladega often produces an unexpected winner on the Truck Series. With a potentially more wide-open field, Insiders Betting Digest has NASCAR’s weekend at Talladega covered with our Love’s RV Stop 250 prediction and betting analysis.

Previous Results
The list of previous winners in our Love’s RV Stop 250 prediction speaks to the wide-open nature of the Truck Series at Talladega historically, as the previous seven races have produced a different winner. Three of those drivers are in the field but aren’t featured in our NASCAR predictions.
- Parker Kligerman has two Truck Series wins at Talladega (2012, 2017) but hasn’t produced an excellent result this season.
- Young’s Motorsports Spencer Boyd won in 2019, but only has one top-20 finish this season.
- Last Year’s winner was Matt DiBenedetto, who has one top-five and three top-ten finishes in the previous four races.

Ready, Set, Go! Love’s RV Stop 250 Betting Preview
Christian Eckes
McAnally-Hilgemann Racing’s Christian Eckes remains the most impressive driver of the Truck Series playoffs, including taking pole position, winning both stages and leading the most laps at Bristol before leaving an opening for Heim to exploit. Eckes’ playoff run features four top-three finishes in four races.
We expect Eckes to fight with Heim and needs a strong finish to keep pace with Heim, while his place in the Championship Four is all but confirmed.
Corey Heim
Regardless of what happens in the next two NASCAR races, Regular Season Champion Corey Heim will have a rightful and earned place in the Championship Four in Phoenix. Heim is a lock to compete and finish in the top five, having three consecutive top-five finishes and seven of the last nine.
Heim finished 26th at Talladega last year but is having a different type of season in 2023, and we expect the Championship favorite to challenge for the win at Talladega, with a top-three finish likely.

Zane Smith
Zane Smith is running out of races on the NASCAR schedule to make the Championship Four. Smith has two fifth-place finishes in the playoffs but is coming off a 24th-place finish at Bristol. He’ll also need the best result of his career at Talladega. With his best finish being 17th in three career races.
Carson Hocevar
While there is an 11-point gap between Hocevar and the top two, he has the pace and form presently where he could use a big result at Talladega to make the Championship fight a three-way battle. Hocevar has four top-five finishes in the last five races.
Impressive night for @CarsonHocevar, but he still wants more. pic.twitter.com/HReEgi48wG
