Archie Manning was supposed to be the future quarterback of the Texas Longhorns, but that future is now pretty cloudy. Quinn Ewers has announced his decision to return to the University of Texas, and it’s widely assumed that Manning is going to be looking to transfer ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Archie Manning Future Picks
- Pick: James Madison -2.5 & UNDER 41.5.
Manning has not yet entered the transfer portal, but you can bet that schools are already lining up to get him if that were to be the case. He was one of the top high school quarterback prospects ahead of choosing Texas, and he is good enough to be starting somewhere next year.
Here is a look at some of Archie Manning future odds as well as a prediction as to where he might end up next.
Will He Return?
There are a couple of different Archie Manning future odds to check out, including a market that is extremely simple to understand. Until Manning does decide that he is going to move on to another school, he can still win the starting job at Texas.
The Longhorns were just recently in the college football playoffs, and they have a roster that would be good enough to get there again next season. You should always be looking for value when making college football picks, and there is value in simply betting on him to start at Texas next season.
You can make a bet on Manning to be the starting quarterback at Texas next season at +300, and that’s a ton of value for a simple wager. Ewers is clearly the top choice to win the starting job, but Manning can make it a close battle.
There will also be some major storylines developing over the next few months, and you need to keep an eye on those when looking at the NCAAF odds.
Plenty of Options
If Manning does decide to enter the transfer portal then there will be plenty of NCAAF teams looking to bring him in to compete for the starting job. That is pretty clear to see when checking out the Archie Manning future odds, but it also doesn’t feel like one team is favored more than the others.
- LSU +200
- North Carolina +250
- Ole Miss +350
- Tulane +450
- Alabama +500
- Tennessee +700
- South Carolina +900
- Georgia +1000
- Texas A&M +2800
Archie Manning’s Potential SEC Transfer: Where Could He Land?
Texas is going to have a much different NCAAF schedule next season as they are now moving to the SEC. This is still a program that should be one of the best in the country, but it will be much harder to get back to the top of the NCAAF standings.
With that in mind, Manning could be looking to transfer to another team in the SEC as that would allow him to showcase his talents against teams that Texas would be playing. LSU is currently the betting favorite to land Manning in the transfer portal, and that is a team that is in need of a quarterback.
Ole Miss at +350 is another team that is someone to keep an eye on as they already have some history with the Manning family. Eli Manning was a star for the Rebels, and that is somewhere that the family clearly feels comfortable in.
North Carolina (+250) and Tulane (+450) appear to be the strangest names on this list as neither team is in the SEC. The Tar Heels and Green Wave have both been successful in the last few years, but they just aren’t at the same level as some of the other programs listed.
This is going to be a story to keep track of over the next few months as it could end up having a huge say in which teams make it into the College Football Playoffs.
- Pick: Manning to starting at Texas +300
