Let’s see which team will take the win on this Razorbacks at Bulldogs betting preview.
The number eight team in the country travels to take on the number two team in the country.
The Razorbacks are a perfect 4-0 and coming off a major win against the number seven Texas A&M. Georgia, who is currently 4-0 as well, is just hoping to take the field at full strength on Saturday.
Can the Arkansas Defense Keep Up this Level of Play?
If a team is going to be great all season, they will need everything and everyone playing at their best. So far this season, Arkansas has exceeded all of the expectations. The offense is currently averaging over 35 points. Their defense has been even better, giving up just over 14 points per game.
The Arkansas quarterback, KJ Henderson, has shown off his abilities as a dual-threat quarterback. He has completed close to 60% of his passes for 844 yards and six touchdowns. He has also rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Arkansas has four other players with over 100 rushing yards, with their number one running back Trelon Smith, at 298.
The defense is the story so far this season, giving opposing offenses almost zero success so far. Through four games, the Arkansas secondary is holding quarterbacks to less than 150 yards passing.
The running game has also been tough against this defense; opposing teams are at 123 yards per game rushing. If this defense can continue this type of play, they have a real chance at working their way into the top five.
How Effective will JT Daniels Be?
Currently battling a lat injury, JT Daniels is expected to start for the Bulldogs this Saturday. After playing just the first quarter of their 62-0 route of Vanderbilt last weekend, there was tons of speculation as to whether or not Daniels was really hurt. Head Coach Kirby Smart has made it very clear this week that Daniels will be ready to go.
Leading the running backs this season has been the junior Zamir White. Accumulating 37 carries so far this season, White has ran for 207 yards and two touchdowns.
The current receiving leader has been the freshman tight end, Brock Bowers. He has hauled in 18 receptions for 272 yards and four touchdowns.
This defense is also playing great football. Through four games, they have only given up a total of 23 points.
With there being only four games played, people could talk about the lack of competition, but Georgia held Clemson, the number three team in the nation at the time, to just three points. In four games, they have registered seven takeaways, good enough for 8th in the nation.
The Picks
Georgia is currently -18½, and the points total is set at 48.
18½ is so many points. However, the fact that the game is in Georgia is a big deal. Home teams will usually be the favorite.
Arkansas is 4-0 against the spread this year. They have been the underdog twice and covered. This will be Arkansas’ first official away game; their last game was played at a neutral site.
Take Arkansas +18½ and under 48.
