Iowa State Cyclones Preview: Decking the Halls
This Iowa State offense has been one of the best offenses in the entire nation as they are averaging 32.8 points per game thus far. A big reason why is the fact that they have a lot of balanced domination with 268.8 passing yards per game and 168.6 rushing yards per game. Their biggest offensive player has been junior running back Breece Hall, who has recorded 253 rushing attempts for 1,472 yards with 20 rushing touchdowns on the ground and 36 receptions for 302 yards with three touchdowns through the air this season.
The Cyclones have also been playing very well on the defensive side of the field as a program as they are allowing 20.6 points per game this season, but have given up at least 28 points in three of their last five games. Their passing defense is good but they need to figure out a way to neutralize the opposing rushing game as they are currently giving up 122.3 rushing yards per game.
Who to Bet on Tigers at Cyclones
This game is expected to be close as the top sportsbooks in the entire United States are listing the Clemson Tigers as a single point favorite on a neutral field. Neither team has been covering the spread well this season but Clemson is the more complete program out of these two. Clemson is defending at an elite level, giving up just 15.6 points in their previous five games while Iowa State is averaging 25.6 points in that same stretch. The Tigers have a balanced offensive attack and should have no issues moving the ball down the field, so go with the Clemson Tigers laying a single point in this game to win.
