College football NCAAF odds are high as The Ohio State Buckeyes are going to be coming into this game as the number 2 team in the entire nation at 6-0.
What they’ve been able to do on both sides of the football this year has been remarkable, and it is certainly warranted why this team is playing as well as they have been.
Above-average Defense
The one thing to watch out for in this game is that Iowa does have an above-average defense, but can they do enough to stop the Buckeyes on that side of the football?

Ohio State and Iowa Last Records
Ohio State Record
Ohio State is going to be coming into this game fresh off an impressive win over the Michigan State Spartans, 49-20.
Heisman Trophy favorite CJ Stroud has continued to play well, as he threw for 361 yards in that game with six touchdowns and only one interception. Ohio State had 614 total yards and continued to play offense at an elite level.
Iowa Record

Iowa has continued to struggle on the offensive side of the football, and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon.

Iowa vs. Ohio State Betting Analysis
Ohio State
What this Ohio State football team has done throughout the first few weeks of the season certainly warrants the NCAAF standings.
As the number 2 team in the entire nation, the Buckeyes have a legitimate chance of not only winning the Big Ten this year, but maybe even winning a national title.
They have to continue doing what they’ve done offensively if they want to complete that task, but that doesn’t look like that’s going to be an issue for them. They’ve scored 21, 45, 77, 52, and 49 twice in their first six wins.
Ohio State Defense
On top of what they’ve been able to do offensively, their defense has also been one of the best in the entire nation.
They’ve given up only 10, 12, 21, 21, 10, and 20 points, respectively, throughout their first six games of the season.
Iowa
The Iowa Hawkeyes might have one of the worst offenses that the college football world has ever seen. We aren’t exaggerating here when we say that they have had one of the toughest times to score points that we have ever seen.
Iowa has scored seven points twice, 27, 27, 14, and 6. They have had games where they do somewhat look to be a bit better offensively, but the Iowa vs Ohio betting analysis is solely going to be focused on the fact that Iowa cannot score the football against any elite defenses.
If their offense was even half as good as their defense was, the Iowa Hawkeyes would be one of the best teams in the entire nation.
Iowa’s Offense
They typically have a better offense and they do right now, but it’s still not anything that has been something to brag about throughout the past few seasons.
Quarterback Spencer Petras is going to be in for a long game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, and that’s not good news for Iowa.
This doesn’t mean that Iowa is a bad team despite some of their struggles this season at 3-3, but they just are not at the same level as a team like Ohio State.
They have losses this year against teams that truly don’t belong on the same field as them, including Iowa State, and an Illinois team that, quite frankly, isn’t necessarily that great despite them being 5-1.
It just doesn’t feel like Iowa is going to be able to compete against some of the better teams in the Big Ten, and that’s not great news for them because they still have this game against Ohio State, a game against Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Nebraska remaining NCAAF schedule.
Iowa vs. Ohio State Betting Preview
When thinking about our NCAAF picks, the first thing that’s going to come to mind here is what Ohio State has done for us this season.
They’ve been one of the most profitable teams in all of college football, and although this spread line is insane at – 29, it might not be a bad idea to take them.
Ohio State will be coming in as a 29-point favorite, with -10000 on the money line, and the over/under is going to be slotted at 49. Iowa is going to be coming into this game, getting 29 points, and a money line at +2200.
Iowa vs. Ohio State Betting Prediction
Iowa vs Ohio betting analysis shows that the best pick in this game is going to be taking Ohio State – 29. Although some might call us crazy because Iowa has had one of the best defenses in the entire country this year, maybe the best, with what Ohio State has done offensively this year, it seems like nobody in the country is ever going to be able to stop them.
Maybe when they take on a team like Georgia or Alabama later in the year, but it doesn’t seem likely at the moment that anyone is going to be able to stop this high-powered offense.
Who to Bet On?
They’ve scored:
- 52 points against Wisconsin
- 49 against Rutgers
- Michigan State
- 77 against Toledo
They’ve done so against some high-level opponents this year and it just wouldn’t make sense if that slows down, no matter who they’re going up against and where.
When also factoring in that this game is going to be played at Ohio State, it feels like taking this bet is even better.
The Buckeyes are going to come out energetic as they realize they have a real opportunity of being the number 1 ranked team in the country during anyone one of these weeks.
NCAAF Pick: Ohio State -29 (-110)
