David Sills and Cole Beasley combined for seven receptions in the game. The Giants defense forced the Lions into two turnovers, both interceptions in the game. So far, the New York Giants injury report has stayed mostly clean in the training camp.
For the Carolina Panthers, the preseason start was not what they were looking for. A team that has a ton of high hopes for the season did not score in the game. The Panthers’ offense picked up just a total of 10 first downs in the game, with 113 passing yards and just 52 rushing yards.
Looking at the NFL player stats, rookie Bryce Young did play in the game for Carolina but was in for just a total of six passes. He was four of six for 21 yards. Spencer Brown and Chuba Hubbard got the most carries for Carolina, as Brown finished with 34 yards on the ground.
The Panthers will wrap up their preseason NFL schedule on August 25th at home and then open the regular season with a trip to Atlanta.
