Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears Betting Preview
Vikings Struggling to Run
The Minnesota Vikings schedule has been challenging up to this point, but they have made it harder on themselves by not being able to run the football. Minnesota is averaging just 80 rushing yards per game this season, and that is why they are just 1-4 on the year.
You are going to want to watch the NFL injury report closely this weekend as star wide receiver Justin Jefferson left the Week 5 loss with a hamstring injury. Jefferson has 571 receiving yards so far this season, and that would be a huge blow if he wasn’t able to play.
Kirk Cousins still has some terrific NFL player stats this season, as he has thrown for 1,498 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. Cousins continues to put up some great numbers at the QB position, but the Vikings are simply too one-sided when they have the football.
The defense for Minnesota continues to keep this team in games, but they are on the field way too often each week. Look for the Vikings to try and establish the run in this matchup.
Bears Must Get Stops
Justin Fields and DJ Moore are the two best Chicago Bears players, and that duo had a great performance in Week 5. Field has now thrown 11 touchdown passes this season, and Moore has hauled in five of those passes.
The Bears are averaging 130 rushing yards per game, and they do have the ability to pile up the yards on the ground. Chicago still doesn’t trust Fields to make all of the throws, but he is clearly extremely talented.
This team just needs to find a way to get some stops, as they are giving up nearly 400 yards of total offense per game. Chicago is holding opponents to just 98 rushing yards per game, but the secondary has been a major concern at times.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears Betting Picks
After taking a close look at the Vikings vs Bears odds, there are two bets that really stand out in this game. The NFL team stats on defense for Minnesota and Chicago are not that impressive this season, and this will be a game that features a ton of points.
Injuries tend to impact NFL matchups as well, and the Bears could be catching a huge break if Justin Jefferson can’t play for the Vikings. Chicago is coming into this game with some momentum, and that offense will simply be too good in this game.
The moneyline odds will come out closer to kickoff, but taking the Bears to win outright in a high-scoring affair is the way to go in Week 6.
