The Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens are set to begin their 2023 preseason NFL schedule with a game.
The Philadelphia Eagles come into the 2023 season as the defending NFC Champions. The Eagles ran through the NFC a season ago with 14 wins and were the top seed. After winning in the postseason, the Eagles were stopped by the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
For Baltimore, Lamar Jackson is back, and the hopes are high after a 10-7 season last year. That 10-7 record included two losses to end the regular season.
Let’s take a look at our Eagles vs Ravens Best Bets. By looking at the past NFL standings, we should be in for an exciting game.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens Analysis
Philadelphia Eagles
The expectations are high, and they are real for the Philadelphia Eagles. The team was fantastic a season ago, and barring injuries should be again.
The Philadelphia Eagles roster is full of talent. Philadelphia drafted two Georgia Bulldogs in the first round of the draft. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter went 9th overall, and OLB Nolan Smith went 31st. Tyler Steen out of Alabama and Sydney Brown from Illinois rounded out their first four rounds.
The Eagles, of course, have Jalen Hurts at quarterback. Hurts was last year, and should this year be at the top of NFL player stats for quarterbacks. During the preseason, expect Ian Book and Tanner McKee to battle for chances.
They will likely be backing up Marcus Mariota, who is second in line. Philadelphia let Miles Sanders go and brought in former Detroit running back D’Andre Swift. Behind him will be Rashaad Penny, Kenneth Gainwell, and Boston Scott.
Eagle-Eyed Impact
The receiving core pretty much stayed the same. Last season, A.J. Brown was terrific. He looks to be even better and will play alongside Quez Watkins and Devonta Smith.
Looking at the NFL team stats, guys like Greg Ward, Devon Allen, and Joseph Ngata will battle for chances in the preseason. The Eagles start their 2023 regular season on September 10th against the New England Patriots on the road.
Lamar Jackson wanted to be paid in the off-season, and that’s exactly what he got. Now, he has additional weapons as well. When the Baltimore Ravens score – Jackson is involved heavily.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens drafted Zay Flowers out of Boston College, and he will slot in as a key receiver, and they also added Odell Beckham Jr. Those two will play alongside Rashod Bateman, although Bateman will miss the first few weeks with a foot injury and is on the NFL injury report.
That leaves guys like Nelson Agholor, Devin Duvery, Laquon Treadwell, Tylan Wallace, and Tarik Black available to get opportunities. The running back situation is still the same, but now some depth was brought in with Melvin Gordon III on the list. J.K. Dobbins leads the depth chart, but he is also at the moment. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill are next in line.
The Ravens hope to get off to a quick start. Following the preseason, Baltimore will start the Week 1 season in a game they should win at home against the Texans.
Week 2 for the Ravens is at Cincinnati before they come back home to host Indianapolis. Road games at Cleveland and Pittsburgh round out the first five weeks of the season.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens Betting Pick and Prediction
Time for our discussion of one of the NFL Matchups for the preseason: This spread seems too high.
Sure, the Baltimore Ravens are the kings of the preseason. But the Eagles are a good team that will still have talented players on the field. The Ravens can win this game, but the spread is too much.
- Our final Eagles vs Ravens Best Bets feature: Ravens win this game 21-17 over the Eagles. Baltimore wins via the moneyline, Philadelphia covers the spread, and the OVER hits on Saturday.
