Real Madrid (4-1-0) and Inter Milan (3-1-1) will face off in a Champions League match at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 P.M. EST.
Although both clubs have already qualified for the next round, the top seed for Group D is still on the line.
Real Madrid currently ranks first in Group D while Inter trails by just 2 points sitting in second place. This has the makings of an excellent match you will not want to miss.
Real Madrid vs. Inter Betting Analysis
On the Inter Milan side
Inter Milan understands how talented Real Madrid is, but that won’t stop them from feeling confident on Tuesday.
They have scored 8 points while surrendering just 3 during pool play. A win against Real Madrid would make a huge statement to the rest of the clubs.
But is it really possible for Inter Milan to upset Real Madrid at the Bernabeu?
Edin Dzeko certainly believes so. The striker has 3 goals on 16 shots on goal to go along with 1 assist. He is the only player on the club with multiple goals in five games of play in the Champions League.
One thing to note about Inter Milan is that they do not get cheated. They rank second in shots on goal overall on the season. They might come out firing against this talented Real Madrid club in an effort to force early pressure on them.
On the Real Madrid side
Real Madrid has been excellent during pool play.
They have a goal difference of 9 with 12 goals scored compared to just 3 goals surrendered. But even with their dominance, there is one reason for Inter Milan to feel a bit more confident in this match.
Superstar striker Karim Benzema has been ruled out for Tuesday’s match. He suffered an injury against Real Sociedad on Saturday in Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory.
Benzema had scored a team-leading 5 goals.
Fortunately for Madrid, Vinicius Jr. is still active. The other main star on the club has added 2 goals and 3 assists. This will be his chance to truly showcase his emerging stardom on a big stage against Inter.
On the other hand, Real Madrid is already headed to the next round regardless of Tuesday’s outcome. Benzema’s injury is reportedly not expected to keep him out for a lengthy period of time, so their focus may already be on the next round.
But first place certainly has its perks so it will be interesting to see if Vinicius Jr. can lead Real Madrid to a win in this match.
Real Madrid vs. Inter Milan Prediction
Despite the Benzema injury, Real Madrid is still projected to win by the majority of top sportsbooks.
With Vinicius Jr. leading the way and a plentiful amount of talented depth on the roster, I am rolling with Real Madrid as well.
Take Real Madrid -1.
