The final games before the regular season portion of the MLB schedule starts are finally here. Most MLB teams are moving to Major League Baseball parks to get in their final tune-ups before the games truly count in the standings.
Most rosters have been settled, but it is an opportunity for some to improve their MLB player stats and secure a big league roster spot.
There is still plenty to watch, and most MLB games are able to be viewed for free, as it is mostly the everyday players who are starting and pitching at this point. Here is a rundown of the Guardians vs Diamondbacks odds, team breakdowns and picks.
Cleveland Guardians vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Odds
The Guardians vs Diamondbacks odds show Arizona is favored at -135 on the moneyline while Cleveland is +145. The Guardians are +1.5 (-140) on the run line, while the Diamondbacks are -1.5 (+110) on the run line.
That is a little surprising based on season win projections, and the Guardians expected to win the American League Central Division in the MLB standings, while the Diamondbacks will be in the lower or middle part of the National League West Division.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Preview
Cleveland Guardians
Aaron Civale gets the start for the Guardians. He has had a rough spring for a team that went 12-14 in Cactus League play. Civale allowed six earned runs on eight hits, and three walks and had 11 strikeouts across 9.2 innings. He was 2-2 with a 5.59 ERA.
The Cleveland Guardians schedule begins Thursday in Seattle, so the team has a day to rest and a fully rested bullpen before the season kicks off. The bullpen is supposed to be a strength entering the season with Emmanuel Clase, one of the best closers in baseball, and James Karinchak among a number of versatile setup arms.
Third baseman Jose Ramirez is starting the year as a Most Valuable Player candidate as a five-tool player. He has deceptive speed to go with his gap-to-gap power and ability to hit some massive home runs. He is surrounded by a mix of power and speed in the lineup, with a group that plays well defensively, too.
Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks games also begin on the road with a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. There are a number of reasons to watch the Diamondbacks this year as their blossoming young core is starting to come together, so long as they stay off the MLB injury report.
Outfielder Alek Thomas was called up last season, and now one of the game’s top prospects in Corbin Carroll is set to make his debut. They also added Kyle Lewis and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to complete the outfield and add depth and versatility.
Arizona hoped to get a rebound from infielder Ketel Marte and added veteran Evan Longoria to a lineup with a power bat of Christian Walker and a fresh face of catcher Gabriel Moreno.
Longtime southpaw Madison Bumgarner will have his final tune-up. He was 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA in spring training, allowing two earned runs on four hits, four walks, two hit batters, and four strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
Cleveland Guardians vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Picks
There are not yet public MLB picks to see which way people are leaning. That is sometimes an important betting strategy. We will have to target our Guardians vs Diamondbacks odds without any input, which is fine.
There is no over/under as of this writing, so we will focus on the run line.
- We like the Guardians to cover +1.5 (-140) and win the game outright.
Bumgarner has had his struggles, and Cleveland’s offense is too good.
