Despite neither team finishing in first in the MLB standings in their respective divisions, the Rangers and Diamondbacks are putting on quite a show as they battle for the World Series title.
After splitting the first two games of the series in Texas, the Rangers were able to steal Game 3 from the Diamondbacks on the road Monday night by a score of 3-1. In the win, Max Scherzer pitched just three scoreless innings before having to leave with a back injury. The bullpen was able to fire six innings of one-run ball.
Offensively, Corey Seager hit a two-run blast, his fifth of the postseason to put the Rangers ahead for good.
