Rally racing comes with the caveat that anything can happen at any time. For the first time this season, multiple front-running betting favorites retired from a rally, opening the door for surprising results.
Elfyn Evans took advantage of the retirements, winning Rally Finland, with Thierry Neuville and Takamoto Katsuya completing the top three and Finnish drivers Teemu Suninen and Jari-Matti Latvala completing the top five.
The betting and championship favorites are looking for better results as the WRC schedule continues from one breathtaking venue to another – this time, surrounded by ancient history – and Insidersbettingdigest has you covered in our WRC Acropolis Rally Greece predictions and betting analysis.

WRC Acropolis Greece Rally Betting Analysis
Kalle Rovanperä (+800)
Insidersbettingdigest’s WRC Acropolis Rally Greece predictions start with current Drivers’ Championship leader and regularly featured driver Kalle Rovanperä, who suffered his first retirement of the season, as the heavy favorite in his home Rally.
However, before his retirement in Finland, Rovanperä was a lock to finish in the top five, having done so in the previous eight rallies, with five top-three finishes and never finishing lower than fourth. The retirement also ended Rovanperä’s four-race streak of top-three finishes.
As long as he finishes the Acropolis Greece Rally, Rovanperä will finish in the top five and challenge for the win, moving one step closer to the 2023 WRC Drivers’ Championship.
Elfyn Evans (+1600)
Toyota’s Elfyn Evans is a regularly featured driver in our WRC picks, and with good reason: much like his Toyota teammate Rovanperä, Evans has finished in the top five in all but one rally this season, suffering a retirement in Portugal. With Rovanperä out of the picture, Evans capitalized in Finland, scoring his second win and fourth top-three finish of the season. Evans will finish in the top five, fighting for a top-three finish.
Sebastian Ogier (+105)
In the five WRC events he’s entered, Toyota’s Sébastien Ogier has three rally wins and four top-three finishes, with a 14th-place finish in Italy as the anomaly.
Ogier – the eight-time Drivers’ Champion – will finish in the top three, so your only decision is if he wins the Rally or not.
Thierry Neuville (+300)
Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville successfully danced with the “Rally of the Gods” in 2022 and is coming off his second-consecutive second-place finish. Neuville has one race win, six top-three, and seven top-five finishes this season.
WRC Acropolis Rally Greece Betting Pick
Insidersbettingdigest is taking Sebastian Ogier to win Rally Finland and Tänak, Neuville, Evans, and Rovanperä for top-five finishes.
