The NBA player stats for the Mavs have certainly been a bit weird. Outside of Luka Doncic, there has not been any player (aside from the traded Spencer Dinwiddie) that has been able to perform consistently. Reggie Bullock and Tim Hardaway Jr. have been very up and down, while guys like Josh Green and Davis Bertans have not been heavily featured in the offense.

Things have started to look up a bit for them. They are a little thin at the wing spots, but Maxi Kleber should be able to come back soon and bolster the frontcourt.
Dwight Powell was used sparingly, despite starting last year, so to see him step up in a larger role has been refreshing for Dallas fans. When JaVale McGee came in, it was thought that the Mavs were trying to phase him out. They couldn’t. Because he’s working harder now.

What a year it’s been for the team that hasn’t made the playoffs in 26 years. Both Sabonis and Fox have been incredible this season. Malik Monk is as valuable as any sixth man in the league, and Keegan Murray has impressed during his first season.
Mike Brown has taken his team and made them relevant again. Their new phrase, ‘Light The Beam,’ started because ownership opted to install a beam that shoots up from the top of the arena after every win. Little did they know it would catch on as it has. They have different members of the team pressing the button to light the beam each time. 50 Cent has even done it this season.
And as they have begun to win, their fans have traveled well. Light the beam can be heard in any stadium around the league when Sacramento is close to a victory. Sabonis is the best rebounder in the NBA. Fox is among the leaders in clutch scoring. They are here, and they might be to stay, too.
