Looking at the NBA schedule for tonight’s contests, five NBA games are being played. Let’s look at each of these NBA matchups and see if we can put together something for an NBA parlay for January 19.
Chicago Bulls (-7.5) vs. Detroit Pistons
The Chicago Bulls will head to Detroit Pistons to take on the Pistons in this Central Division matchup. Both teams come into this game at the bottom of the division with losing records. They are looking for a spark to get things moving in the right direction.
The Bulls come into this game as 7.5-point favorites with -110 odds on the point spread. A team that has struggled on the road with an 8-14 road record, the Bulls are 2-3 in their last five away games.
In those five games, the Bulls have gone 3-2 against the spread but lost the one game they were the favorite for. In their last five games that they have been the favorite, the Bulls are 1-4.
According to the NBA team stats, the Pistons are 1-4 in their last five home games. Against the spread in those games, the Pistons have gone 2-3.
These two teams met previously on December 30th, with the Bulls winning 132-118. With that knowledge, the Bulls -7.5 is a play we will be putting in our NBA parlay Jan 19.
Golden State Warriors (+6.5) vs. Boston Celtics
The Golden State Warriors will travel to Boston to take on the Celtics in one of the premiere games of the evening. The Warriors are fighting to stay in the playoff picture and will take on the red-hot Celtics, who are carrying a four-game winning streak into this matchup.
The Boston Celtics come into this game as 6.5-point favorites, with the NBA odds set at -110. The Celtics have been dominant at home, putting together a 17-5 home record, while the Warriors are struggling to win on the road, coming in at 5-17.
Boston Celtics have been the favorite in their last ten games, resulting in a 5-5 record in those ten games against the spread. In their last five games, however, they are 4-1 against the spread, taking their lone loss by 1.5 points.
The Warriors have not been the underdog in many of their contests this season. In their last three contests where they were, not only did they cover the spread, but they also won the game outright.
The Warriors have finally gotten healthy as well, with their all-star guard Steph Curry returning to the lineup. Jaylen Brown is currently listed as questionable for tonight and is something to note. If he does not play, taking the Warriors +6.5 will be added to our NBA parlay for January 19.
Toronto Raptors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (+5)
The Toronto Raptors will head to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves in a game between two teams currently on the outside looking in. While this game may not be featured in many bettors’ NBA picks and parlays, there is value here when looking at the numbers.
The Raptors come into this game with a full day of rest after losing a tough battle to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the second game of a back-to-back where they could not hold off the Denver Nuggets in the fourth quarter and lost 122-118.
The Timberwolves are 1-2 in the second game of a back-to-back set when they lose the first. Coming in at only five-point underdogs, they lost the previous games by double digits. In the one game where they covered the spread, they also won by double digits.
The Raptors have not been great on the road, coming in with a 6-14 road record. However, with Pascal Siakam back in the lineup again and his NBA player stats seemingly making a big difference, they seem to be in a much better place than they were just a mere two months ago.
In Toronto’s last five games, where they have been the favorite, they are 3-2 against the spread. In their last five games, where they have been the favorite on the road, they are 0-5.
The Timberwolves +5 is the play and will be added to the NBA parlay for January 19.
NBA Parlay Overview
Laying the parlay out, it should look like this:
- Chicago Bulls -7.5 (-110)
- Golden State Warriors +6.5 (-110)
- Minnesota Timberwolves +5 (-110)
