The 2024 NFL Draft is now less than two months away, and it’s time to start making AFC West Draft predictions as to what NFL teams are going to do in the upcoming season scores and odds. The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions, and they have dominated the AFC West Division in recent years.
Instead of trying to take a look at the entire NFL when breaking down the draft, it’s easier to look at the team AFC West team draft needs. Every team will be looking to improve in different ways during this offseason, and the NFL Draft provides that opportunity.
Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos might have the biggest team AFC West team draft needs as this franchise has not had much luck in recent seasons. Denver will be looking for a quarterback at some point in this draft, but it might not be the first pick that is used.
When looking back at an NFL Draft 2024 recap, the Denver Broncos are a team that has had to have loaded up on some playmakers. Denver just didn’t have a ton of scoring options in recent years, and it takes points to keep pace against the other great teams in this division.
This team does not look like they are in a position to be ready to compete for a division title, but things can always be turned around in a hurry.
Kansas City Chiefs
Recent Super Bowl reviews have shown just how much success the Kansas City Chiefs have had, and they are going to be looking for another title this season. There aren’t a ton of huge needs for this team as they will have some of the best NFL odds to win the Super Bowl next season.
Kansas City will be looking to improve the offense as Patrick Mahomes is starting to run out of playmakers around him. The Chiefs are not going to be drafting early on in April, but there is enough talent in this draft class to where Kansas City can still cash in at the end of round 1.
Las Vegas Raiders
It’s hard to figure out what NFL Draft predictions to make for the Las Vegas Raiders as they were solid for much of the 2023-24 season. A coaching change seemed to provide some energy to this team, and they will be bringing many players back.
The Raiders should draft a quarterback in this loaded class, even if they believe that they have some talented players on their roster. Las Vegas has some draft capital to spend, and it would be wise to make a move and try to get a franchise quarterback.
This is always a franchise that looks to make a big splash in both the draft and free agency, and that trend is expected to continue this year. The Las Vegas Raiders will be looking to make some big moves to get back near the top of the AFC West Division.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are a franchise to watch when trying to make team AFC West Draft predictions as things can go either way for this team. Los Angeles continues to be a team that wants to score a ton of points, but this defense has been a disaster as well.
Having Justin Herbert under center will allow the Los Angeles Chargers to be a popular team when making NFL picks next season, but he needs some talent around him. Look for the Chargers to be aggressive in this draft as they need as much talent as possible.
This does feel like one team that can make a big jump right away, but it’s going to take some work to get that done. The Chargers have some glaring needs on both sides of the ball, and they need to work on this roster.
