This is going to be one of the more interesting games of the week for multiple reasons. The UCLA Bruins are coming into this one at 3-0 on the year, but might not be the same type of team that the Bruins are used to seeing.
Colorado, on the other hand, has not enjoyed the start to the season at all as they haven’t even been able to compete and currently sit at 0-3.
This is something that we’re going to be thinking about in our Bruins vs. Buffaloes betting analysis. Let’s dive into some NCAA football odds for this contest.
UCLA and Colorado Previous Scoreboards
These teams have started like the complete opposite of one another. Buffalo looks to be one of the worst teams in a power 5 conference this season, while UCLA is hopeful that they’re going to prove some people wrong and are better than what many are saying.
The Buffaloes haven’t been able to compete in any of their first three games of the season and it’s been a major call for concern. They just lost to a below-average Minnesota squad 49-7.
The UCLA Bruins are going to be coming into this one after an impressive 32-31 win against South Alabama.
We typically wouldn’t say a win against South Alabama is impressive, but UCLA scored nine points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
UCLA vs. Colorado Betting Analysis and Prediction
When factoring in the Bruins schedule to start the season, what they have done hasn’t necessarily been that impressive.
They haven’t beaten another power 5 opponent at all throughout their first three games and it’s questionable why they have the schedule that they currently do.
However, the biggest thing that we have to look at here for our Bruins vs. Buffaloes betting analysis is what Colorado has been able to do this season and that’s nothing impressive.
Is UCLA Actually Good?
It’s tough to say what UCLA has done this year is impressive. They are 3-0 and we always have to give him credit for starting the season undefeated, but they beat:
- Bowling Green
- Alabama State
- South Alabama
Let’s be honest here for a second and tell it how it is, none of those three teams are any impressive and should never be on the same field as a team like UCLA.
UCLA Offensive Side
At the end of the day, they’ve been able to get things done on the offensive side of the football and we have to give them credit for that.
Dorian Thompson Robinson is coming off an incredible game against South Alabama where he threw 30 passes and completed 20 of them for 263 yards and was able to have three touchdowns. If he can continue doing what he’s done for UCLA, it’s going to make the NCAAF picks much easier.
Worst Colorado Team In A Long Time
It’s strange that we’re saying the Colorado Buffaloes are a bad team, but this Buffaloes football team is truly that bad.
They haven’t been able to get anything going on either side of the football this year and it’s been strange compared to previous years.
After a season last year that saw them have a down year, we came to expect that the Buffaloes were going to be the same type of squad this year.
One of the Pac-12
However, this program is typically one of the better in the Pac-12 throughout the past few decades and it’s always a shock when they’re not competitive at all.
If they want any chance of beating UCLA this week, they need to figure things out on both sides of the football. They’ve given up at least 38 points in all three of their games and haven’t scored more than 13 in one single game.
Their loss against Minnesota needs to be flushed down the drain as the Golden Gophers aren’t necessarily a team that should be scoring nearly 50 points against anybody in the entire country.
NCAAF Injury Report
Neither team has reported many injuries after last week’s game. It should be a clean game from what we have already known.
UCLA Bruins vs. Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview
When looking at the NCAAF odds, UCLA is going to be coming into this one as a 20-point favorite on the road. Colorado is going to be getting +21 for +100 and their money line is going to be at +950.
The UCLA Bruins are going to have a money line of -1650 and the over/under is going to be slotted at 56.5. We need to know this information for our Bruins vs. Buffaloes betting analysis.
The biggest thing we should be looking at here is that Colorado has not even come close to covering the spread in any of their first three games of the season.
UCLA vs. Colorado Betting Prediction
We are now here with our UCLA vs Colorado betting pick. There are a few different ways that we can look at this, and although we aren’t too overly impressed with what the UCLA Bruins have done this season, the Colorado Buffaloes have arguably been one of the worst teams in the entire nation.
They’ve gotten absolutely embarrassed on both sides of the football and that leads us to say that UCLA is going to win this game by 21 points.
Who to Bet On?
It’s not always easy to take a 21-point favorite in their conference on the road, but at the end of the day, Colorado has been way too bad to put any money on them.
Maybe they come out and play better football than they have, but that doesn’t seem likely whatsoever at the moment.
NCAAF Pick: UCLA -21 (-120)
