Jacksonville Jaguars have had a disappointing season, to say the least. As the Jaguars start looking towards improving for next year, the Ravens are looking to extend their lead in the AFC North as they aim to make a deep run in the postseason.
The Jaguars aim to make the Ravens’ life a little bit harder with a win at home.
When it comes to Ravens vs Jaguars’ best bets, I like the Ravens’ moneyline at -200 though if you wanted to play the Jags, you could get them at +170. I just expect the Ravens to get a much-needed win.
However, if you’re looking for value, the Ravens’ spread at -4 is my favorite of my Ravens vs Jaguars best bets, as this is one of the smaller NFL points spreads even though it’s one of the more lopsided NFL matchups this week in my opinion.

Baltimore Ravens Analysis
Offense
The Ravens’ offense is in the midst of a respectable season, though having more stumbles than fans were hoping for.
While putting up 24.8 points a contest which is the 9th best in the league, there remains a lot to be desired as they currently are only scoring touchdowns on 52.63% of their trips to the red zone, placing them 20th in the league in that category.
Lamar Jackson is having another good year keeping teams guessing with his dual-threat ability.
But when you look at his NFL player stats, you realize that passing-wise, he just isn’t getting as much done as you’d probably like.
With only 1,977 passing yards and 7 INTs, Jackson needs to play better down the stretch if Baltimore wants to make a deep run in the postseason.
Defense
Two categories jump off the page when looking at the Ravens’ defensive NFL team stats.
First, they’re allowing only 19.9 points a game, which is the 10th best in the league, and second, they are holding opponents to a 32.76% 3rd down conversion rate.
This is especially impressive when you consider the NFL injury report, as the ravens have seven defensive players on their injured reserve.
Jacksonville Jaguars Analysis
Offense
The Jags’ offense is performing as one could expect with a young QB. Trevor Larence had a turbulent rookie season last year with all the coaching issues Jacksonville had last year, which is sure to slow down his development.
This year, he looks like a serviceable QB who, at times, has shown signs of a high skill ceiling. Only time will tell how good Trevor Lawrence is.
Meanwhile, Travis Etienne Jr. is showing to be one of the next great young running backs leading a rushing attack that has the jaguars’ stats 7th best at rushing yards per game.
Defense
The Jaguars’ defense is middle of the pack when it comes to points allowed, currently allowing 20.5 a game.
Which ultimately is pretty good considering they’re 23rd in the league in yards allowed per game and 24th in the league in 3rd down conversion rate.
The Jaguars’ defense is on the younger side overall and has shown the ability to stop the run pretty well.
Give this young core a season or two to develop, and I expect to see a good solid team. Unfortunately, that doesn’t help them much this season, especially against a high-powered offense like Baltimore.
NFL Pick: Ravens -4 (-110)
NFL Stats and Standings
The Baltimore Ravens standings have them placed squarely atop the AFC North at 7-3. They are currently in a one-game lead over the Cincinnati Bengals, who are 6-4.
Usually, both teams would have a good chance to make the playoffs, but with how the AFC East is playing, it will be hard for any AFC team to contend for a wildcard spot.
The Ravens are also among our Ravens vs Jaguars best bets. The Jacksonville Jaguars are sitting towards the bottom of the NFL team standings at 3-7, currently in possession of 3rd place in the AFC South.
With playoffs out of the picture for the Jaguars, this young team will look to find improvement and get ready for next year as they play out the rest of the NFL schedule.
Most Remarkable Player for this Matchup
Lamar Jackson (QB)
1,977 yards, 16 TDs, 7 INTs, 60.6 QBR, 666 rushing yards – Lamar needs to work on turnovers late into the season. This Jags secondary is good to get a pick if Jackson isn’t careful.
Trevor Lawrence (QB)
2,334 yards, 13 TDs, 6 INTs, 51.0 QBR, 178 rushing yards – Don’t let the lack of rushing yards trick you.
Lawrence is capable with his legs. Expect to see Pederson work different passing concepts into this week’s game to try and help Lawrence continue to develop.
Travis Etienne Jr. (RB)
725 yards, 4 TDs, 5.5 Avg – Travis Etienne carries the primary workload for the Jags’ offense.
As the main source of production, I love a prop bet for any time TD for Etienne as one of my Ravens vs Jaguars best bets.
