The National Basketball Association is full of elite talent. The best players and NBA predictions in the world are playing, and they continue to thrive season after season.
To get ahead on the 2023-2024 season, we present you the Top 10 NBA players going into the new season:
Top NBA Players
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
The Joker is coming off an NBA title. The man can do everything. His shooting percentage remains impressive, and the numbers he puts up for points, rebounds, and assists is incredible for a man his side.
The Nuggets should still be big-time contenders if not THE favorite, regardless of what goes on during the off-season. Having Jamal Murray alongside him is a huge help to Nikola.
Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
Luke has his running mate in the backcourt back in Kyrie Irving. Both Luka and Kyrie will try to wipe off the bad taste of the end of last season that saw him fail to reach the postseason.
Luka scored more than 32 points per game a season ago, and finished with nearly 9 rebounds and 9 assists per game. This is another do it all type of guy, ever since being drafted in 2018.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
There is a case that the Greek Freak could be upset over these Top NBA Players rankings. Giannis has an NBA title under his belt, and another guy that can do everything, and at his size is tough to slow down.
Giannis scored more than 31 points per game a season ago, and ripped down 11.8 rebounds. The difference right now between him and Jokic is the others with Top NBA Players ability to make shots at a more consistent level.
Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
The Process was the leading scorer in the league a season ago. The big man out of Kansas has always had the ability to do what he wanted on the offensive side with his NBA betting trends. Now, the big question mark for Embiid is: Can he do it in the postseason?
Jokic has. Antetokounmpo has; now we want to see Embiid make that jump. The 29-year-old will have help in Philadelphia, but it’s a wait-and-see what kind of help that is.
Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors
Many argue Steph is still the most impressive Top NBA Players in the National Basketball Association. Not very tall, and not the quickest in the league, the guy continues to score at an elite level.
A season ago, Stephen Curry was just shy of 30 points per game with his NBA stats. Many wonder if the 35-year-old is out of the window to win another title. That’s what he will look to prove wrong when the season tips off.
LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers
The 38-year-old continues to defy logic. LeBron scored just shy of 29 points per game a season ago, and his team made the Western Conference Finals.
There are not many seasons left for LeBron James, and he does not have much else to prove. But at his age, he continues to do elite things, and sits in the Top 10 of every list possible. LeBron is always a must-watch when the NBA season is going.
Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns
The move to Phoenix and teaming up with Devin Booker was for him to win an NBA title. The Suns are going to do everything they can to make sure that happens.
Durant has found some injury concerns, playing in just 47 games a season ago, but still has elite scoring ability. Durant scored just shy of 30 points per game, while shooting the fewest amount of shots of anyone in the Top 15 in scoring.
Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
Where Dame will play in 2023-2024 is the biggest question with NBA odds. This man can score, and has the ability to make shots from anywhere. Lilliard finished at just over 37% from three a season ago, and made 92% of his free throws.
Honestly, his 32.2 points per game is low for what a determined Lillard sets out to do with him being out of the NBA injury report. Whoever gets him, if they pair him with a superstar, will skyrocket up the rankings to win the title.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder
This guy blew up last season, and finished fourth in the league in scoring. The 24-year-old out of Kentucky is allowed to play his game in Oklahoma City, and that he does.
Look for this point guard to keep things rolling for Oklahoma City this season with high NBA picks.
Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics
Every list has to have a 10th and final player on the Top 10 list. This is Jayson Tatum, and that’s probably not fair to him. Tatum has been an elite talent, and will continue to just get better.
His Celtics made the Eastern Conference Finals a season ago, but the NBA title that experts ask for in their superstar alluded him there. Tatum scored 30.1 points per game, and average 8.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
Others in Consideration:
- Devin Booker | Phoenix Suns
- Shea Gilgeous Alexander | Oklahoma City Thunder
- Kawhi Leonard | Los Angeles Clippers
- Ja Morant | Memphis Grizzlies
- Tyrese Haliburton | Indiana Pacers
There is a list of the Top 10 players in the NBA heading into the 2023-2024 season and NBA player stats, with an additional five that there would not be a great argument if they were on the list. There certainly is not a lack of superstar players in the league!
