Washington Commanders
In Week 3, the entire NFC East squared off exclusively with division rivals as the Cowboys thwarted the Giants on Monday night, and the Commanders were thoroughly dominated by the Eagles this past Sunday afternoon.
Washington now sits all alone in the basement of the division at 1-2 while the other three teams are all 2-1 or better.
Key Injuries
The Commanders came out of Sunday’s loss relatively unscathed physically, though you could argue they were seriously bruised emotionally. The two key players that continue to miss time are Chase Young and Brian Robinson.
Young was put on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list after suffering a torn ACL late last season, requiring that he miss the first four games of the 2022 campaign.
This date with Dallas is the fourth game of the season, so it’s possible the star defensive end returns next week at home against the Titans.
Reserve/non-football Injury
Robinson, meanwhile, is on the reserve/non-football injury list after being shot in an attempted carjacking before the season kicked off.
He, too, is ineligible to return before the fourth game of the year as Washington’s staff is continually impressed with his progress so far.
Betting Trends to Know
The Commanders are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game and 11-4 ATS over the last 15 years in Week 4.
Dallas Cowboys
As noted, the Cowboys improved to 2-1 thanks to a down-to-the-wire victory over the Giants inside MetLife Stadium on a national stage this past Monday night.
Cooper Rush is now 2-0 as a starter this season after taking over for Dak Prescott, who injured his thumb in the team’s opener against Tampa Bay.
When looking at Cowboys team stats, the one that clearly sticks out is their sack total, as their 13 team sacks leads all NFL defenses.
Key Injuries
Prescott remains the headliner in Big D as he continues to fight his way back to game action. It’s been difficult to discern how much time the franchise quarterback will miss as it was initially reported that he’d be sidelined for 6-8 weeks, but owner Jerry Jones has said recently that he could return in as few as four weeks.
Dalton Schultz and Michael Gallup both missed Monday’s win despite some growing optimism that they would be able to suit up.
Schultz is dealing with a PCL issue that shouldn’t keep him out long, and Gallup is close to returning after tearing his ACL this past January.
Betting Trends to Know
The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last four games in October and 21-7 ATS in their last 28 against the NFC East.

Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys Betting Picks
When crafting Cowboys vs Commanders predictions, consider that the Cowboys are both 2-1 SU and ATS while the Commanders are 1-2 SU and ATS heading into this NFC East battle in Week 4. Dallas is 1-2 on the O/U, while Washington is 2-1 to the total so far.
Be sure to monitor the NFL injury report across the league, but especially in this one considering the reinforcements Dallas could get to help in the matchup with D.C.
Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys Score Prediction
Rush has played well enough to spark some embellished QB controversy debate in Dallas, while Wentz’s warts were fully exposed in Washington’s ugly loss to Philly.
We mentioned how the Cowboys lead the league in sacks, which will not sit well in the nation’s capital after the Commanders just allowed nine of their own to the Eagles.
That’s where the advantage is as we make our Cowboys vs Commanders predictions and why Dallas will improve to 3-1.
Score Prediction: Cowboys 23 Commanders 14
NFL Pick: Cowboys -3.5 (-105)
