Everyone should be on pins and needles at PFL 4. During the first week of the regular season, especially at light heavyweight, several fighters produced impressive finishes with standings crowded at the top. Only four fighters will move onto the semifinals, making people making MMA fight predictions for Friday night nervous.
In the light heavyweight division, five fighters won by first-round stoppage during PFL 2 a few months ago. All five of those men, including former champions Antonio Carlos Jr. and defending champion Impa Kasanganay, will need to search for bonus spots and will be in search of bonus points to keep their dreams of winning the $1 million prize alive.
There will also be more than a few exciting fights at lightweight, including the main event featuring Mads Burnell and Clay Collard.
PFL Regular Season 4 Information
PFL Regular Season 4: Lightweights and Light Heavyweights
Location of the game: Jon M. Huntsman Center, Salt Lake City, UT.
Date & Time: June 21st, 5:00 PM ET (Prelim)
Where to Watch: ESPN
Collard Won’t Back Down
Clay Collard isn’t a fighter anyone should take lightly. If the defending lightweight runner-up reaches the PFL championship fight, he will have competed five times in the cage in 2024. Even the most ambitious, active fighters only competed three or four times a year.
But anyone looking at MMA fights tonight will see Collard is fueled by his loss in the championship fight last season. Burnell is also desperate to bounce back after getting submitted during his PFL debut. Mads Burnell shelled up several times and allowed his opponent to drop him.
Anyone who would employ such a strategy against Collard would be something people making PFL 2024 betting tips should take note of. Collard is a pressure fighter, who likes to put out a ton of volume while seeking to tire his opponent out for a knockout. With three fighters tied with five points apiece, Collard will find a way to finish this fight to ensure his top spot is second.
Collard is -270 to win this fight, while Burnell is +220. This is a hard fight to want to bet a prop on. Collard by decision is a likely option, but it may be better to parlay Collard straight up with another bet you like to avoid losing if Collard scores a big finish.

Pressure on for Silveira, Wilkinson
People who bet on MMA were upset at Australian fighter Rob Wilkinson last season. Everyone wanted to see him defend his title, but he was suspended following a failed drug test. Wilkinson returned this season by battering Tom Breese in the first round of the regular season.
The problem for Wilkinson, however, is that all of his contenders in the weight division also secured first-round knockouts. That’s why people formulating their own PFL 2024 betting tips will see that Wilkinson has tremendous power. His opponent for this fight card, Josh Silveira, was the runner-up at light heavyweight last season.
Silveira is more of a grappling specialist with solid but not spectacular striking. Wilkinson is -305 on the moneyline to win this fight, but playing him to win by knockout will give you a better price. PFL odds show that Silveira is +245 to win on the moneyline.

Pitbull Seeks Miracle Entry Into Playoffs
Patricky “Pitbull” Freire is a former Bellator lightweight champion. However, PFL odds show he landed with a thud in the PFL. Pitbull lost by second-round TKO when he had difficulty handling Collard’s pace during his last fight.
People making PFL 2024 betting tips will see that Bruno Miranda shouldn’t push the pace with Pitbull as Collard did. However, Pitbull has lost consecutive fights and is in his late 30s. Miranda, the PFL lightweight runner-up last season, has fought plenty of tragedy recently.
Miranda lost his dad in the offseason. When the PFL season resumed, Miranda was submitted in the second round by Bellator alum Brent Primus. Both men need a first-round finish in this fight to move on to the playoffs. Miranda is -115 on the moneyline, while Pitbull is -105.
This fight will be tight, but Pitbull’s experience should allow him to steal one.

Impa Kasanganay Needs to Stay Sharp
With the top five fighters in the PFL’s light heavyweight division all producing first-round finishes, there is an immense amount of pressure on defending champion Impa Kasanganay. He has mostly been a points fighter throughout his career, but did open this season with a KO.
Kasanganay is -340 on the moneyline in this fight against Jakob Nedoh. It will be interesting to see how aggressive Kasanganay is with him sitting in fourth place.
